<h3>Kangaroo Valley &#8211; Day 3</h3>
<div>
<div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4v6lw3aI/AAAAAAAAC7g/PuAxp9tERVc/s1600/IMG_1789.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4v6lw3aI/AAAAAAAAC7g/PuAxp9tERVc/s400/IMG_1789.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
It turns out that Roosters don&#8217;t just crow at dawn. Some can crow pretty much all night. Not that the kids needed a rooster to wake them up.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4wP5sEYI/AAAAAAAAC7o/k8wN2fGJYDk/s1600/IMG_1794.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4wP5sEYI/AAAAAAAAC7o/k8wN2fGJYDk/s400/IMG_1794.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Sophie was off to get eggs first thing, throwing a coat on and gum boots on, and grabbing her egg collecting basket. While still wearing her pajamas.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4wsvfuWI/AAAAAAAAC7w/9yenIXO0uXQ/s1600/IMG_1795.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4wsvfuWI/AAAAAAAAC7w/9yenIXO0uXQ/s400/IMG_1795.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
After breakfast, a horse appeared out of the mist!<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4w8nPTcI/AAAAAAAAC74/K23FjXJuZ1Y/s1600/IMG_1802.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN4w8nPTcI/AAAAAAAAC74/K23FjXJuZ1Y/s400/IMG_1802.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Everyone was keen to say good morning.</p>
<p><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9mZc6nRI/AAAAAAAAC8A/mHnvqx76g_U/s1600/IMG_1811.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9mZc6nRI/AAAAAAAAC8A/mHnvqx76g_U/s400/IMG_1811.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
It&#8217;s pretty nice having a horse just over your back fence.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9msnSv4I/AAAAAAAAC8I/J3LgqwhFWB4/s1600/IMG_1820.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9msnSv4I/AAAAAAAAC8I/J3LgqwhFWB4/s400/IMG_1820.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Especially one that listens to everything you say, while looking wistfully at a box of alpaca/goat feed that you are holding in your hand. Poor chap never did get any of that food.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9m4rTrWI/AAAAAAAAC8Q/fEDQmrYvxZQ/s1600/IMG_1834.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9m4rTrWI/AAAAAAAAC8Q/fEDQmrYvxZQ/s400/IMG_1834.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
But he didn&#8217;t give up hope.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9nBOJfZI/AAAAAAAAC8Y/2dWXXDjPwI0/s1600/IMG_1857.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIN9nBOJfZI/AAAAAAAAC8Y/2dWXXDjPwI0/s400/IMG_1857.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
The two of them were thick as thieves. Sophie had a wonderful converstaion about philosophy and dental hygiene. More of a monologue really:<br />
<span style="font-style: italic;">Every world is different. Every person is different. The world works differently.<br />
You live on a farm. But we don&#8217;t really live here. So we&#8217;re just on a holiday here. One more sleep until we go.<br />
And we sometimes see you down over there </span>(pointing down to the bottom of the field). <span style="font-style: italic;">You&#8217;ve got not tiny teeth. You&#8217;ve got this big teeth </span>(holding fingers about 2 inches apart). <span style="font-style: italic;">Because you&#8217;re a really big pony, don&#8217;t you think?</span></p>
<p><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIOReAh2TxI/AAAAAAAAC8g/6kkIxhGA9A0/s1600/IMG_1862.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIOReAh2TxI/AAAAAAAAC8g/6kkIxhGA9A0/s400/IMG_1862.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
At this point the horse yawns, and a look of concern appears on Sophie&#8217;s face. Is she worried that she is losing the interest of her audience. Not really.<br />
<em>You don&#8217;t have very clean teeth, do you?</em><br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIOReodDteI/AAAAAAAAC8o/Zq_b0QYoQJY/s1600/IMG_1875.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIOReodDteI/AAAAAAAAC8o/Zq_b0QYoQJY/s400/IMG_1875.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIORe4nqAiI/AAAAAAAAC8w/BKAQ35xBVV4/s1600/IMG_1890.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIORe4nqAiI/AAAAAAAAC8w/BKAQ35xBVV4/s400/IMG_1890.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Even Toby found a pony to feed, and offered him pieces of apple. From a safe distance.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIORfQKbAZI/AAAAAAAAC84/UrqgOf8Yb8w/s1600/IMG_1904.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIORfQKbAZI/AAAAAAAAC84/UrqgOf8Yb8w/s400/IMG_1904.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Evening in Kangaroo valley. It&#8217;s so quiet and peaceful. Except inside the cottage, where there are serious discussions going on about whether there is still time to check if the chooks have laid any more eggs.</div>

<h3>Kangaroo Valley &#8211; Day 2</h3>
<div>
<div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMvzwE7LGI/AAAAAAAAC6A/QrEw87RQffM/s1600/IMG_0647.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMvzwE7LGI/AAAAAAAAC6A/QrEw87RQffM/s400/IMG_0647.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Morning at the cottage. Sophie was straight up and went off by herself to see if there were any fresh eggs. She met Frank, the farmer who owns the farm, and returned with two fresh eggs. And they were still warm!<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMv0jRbyKI/AAAAAAAAC6I/dgemKdqvBW4/s1600/IMG_0650.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMv0jRbyKI/AAAAAAAAC6I/dgemKdqvBW4/s400/IMG_0650.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Morning view to the garden.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMv01Jpa0I/AAAAAAAAC6Q/Yu9OhrE64lc/s1600/IMG_0651.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMv01Jpa0I/AAAAAAAAC6Q/Yu9OhrE64lc/s400/IMG_0651.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
View from the veranda over the fields.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMv1P0wH_I/AAAAAAAAC6Y/0YGqvjlFEV4/s1600/IMG_0652.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMv1P0wH_I/AAAAAAAAC6Y/0YGqvjlFEV4/s400/IMG_0652.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Toby having a potter in the garden.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxJ6N3d8I/AAAAAAAAC6g/izsHKOOADCI/s1600/IMG_0657.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxJ6N3d8I/AAAAAAAAC6g/izsHKOOADCI/s400/IMG_0657.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
After we had had our breakfast, the alpacas came up from the fields to see what was going on.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxKGf0-8I/AAAAAAAAC6o/zjVgjRYwkoE/s1600/IMG_0660.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxKGf0-8I/AAAAAAAAC6o/zjVgjRYwkoE/s400/IMG_0660.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Sophie got the alpaca food, but was a bit nervous about feeding them. Toby decided that although he wouldn&#8217;t eat his toast at breakfast, it might be worth trying the alpaca food.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxKaFr4vI/AAAAAAAAC6w/QnMQEIZQiQw/s1600/IMG_1766.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxKaFr4vI/AAAAAAAAC6w/QnMQEIZQiQw/s400/IMG_1766.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
The alpacas had a long fringe. But Sophie said that we couldn&#8217;t cut it because they were too furry.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxKtIOLZI/AAAAAAAAC64/N9nAKEls-XQ/s1600/IMG_1768.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMxKtIOLZI/AAAAAAAAC64/N9nAKEls-XQ/s400/IMG_1768.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Sophie holding the alpaca food, Toby pottering and two alpacas looking on hopefully.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMye_0vKWI/AAAAAAAAC7A/0W4BXEMC0zY/s1600/IMG_1770.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMye_0vKWI/AAAAAAAAC7A/0W4BXEMC0zY/s400/IMG_1770.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Mum had taken care of all the food, Toby&#8217;s medicines, clothes, games toilitries and everything. Dad was in charge of the cameras. For some reason Dad decided he didn&#8217;t need to bring the chargers for the digital cameras. Of course this meant that both the batteries for his big SLR went flat almost immediately, leaving only the little Canon point-and-shoot.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMyfY58I8I/AAAAAAAAC7I/LXHJeNeKm0E/s1600/IMG_1776.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMyfY58I8I/AAAAAAAAC7I/LXHJeNeKm0E/s400/IMG_1776.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Cuddles with Dad.<br />

In the afternoon another visitor dropped by to say hello &#8211; Laska, one of the farm pets. Sophie and Laska became instant friends.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMygFXlTCI/AAAAAAAAC7Y/6LevlOcnnsU/s1600/IMG_1782.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TIMygFXlTCI/AAAAAAAAC7Y/6LevlOcnnsU/s400/IMG_1782.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
A tired Sophie at the end of the day.</div>

<h3>Kangaroo Valley &#8211; Day 1</h3>
<div>
<div>Today we go on holiday! Dad&#8217;s taken a few days off work, and Mum has organised a farm stay in the Kanagaroo valley. As well as organising food, clothing, and everything else. Well almost everything else. Dad took care of the cameras. At 10am everyone was bundled into the car and we set off. The plan was that Toby would have his mid-day nap in the car. In fact Dad and Toby both had naps. Fortunately Sophie was able to stay awake and entertain her mother.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5NaijpbQI/AAAAAAAAC34/SlNB3CECuXg/s1600/IMG_1757.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5NaijpbQI/AAAAAAAAC34/SlNB3CECuXg/s400/IMG_1757.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
First stop was at a cafe called <em>Bite Me!</em> in Mittegong, where we had awesome burgers. Toby was allowed to sit in a grown up chair, and was pretty pleased with himself. However it was soon reaslised that a high chair is far preferable for restraining errant young one-and-a-half year olds.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5Na0YoohI/AAAAAAAAC4A/5vAKR6Wpsmg/s1600/IMG_0647.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5Na0YoohI/AAAAAAAAC4A/5vAKR6Wpsmg/s400/IMG_0647.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
After a couple of hours driving, we got there. This is the cottage Mum had booked for us.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5NbQ0pgVI/AAAAAAAAC4I/DNJ_-yCE0W4/s1600/IMG_0626.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5NbQ0pgVI/AAAAAAAAC4I/DNJ_-yCE0W4/s400/IMG_0626.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
View from the garden.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5Nblal0JI/AAAAAAAAC4Q/BY2nhl_2MDs/s1600/IMG_0625.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5Nblal0JI/AAAAAAAAC4Q/BY2nhl_2MDs/s400/IMG_0625.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Behind the cottage was a hen house.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5ScR0lrKI/AAAAAAAAC4g/gKFJWs-7oYg/s1600/IMG_0513.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5ScR0lrKI/AAAAAAAAC4g/gKFJWs-7oYg/s400/IMG_0513.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Sophie went to look for eggs straight away,<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5Sb6eKuFI/AAAAAAAAC4Y/UR6x9BbbiUc/s1600/IMG_0514.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5Sb6eKuFI/AAAAAAAAC4Y/UR6x9BbbiUc/s400/IMG_0514.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
While Toby looked on.<br />
Sophie became very keen on looking for fresh eggs &#8211; so key in fact that she had to be discouraged from looking too often.<br />
<em>No Sophie, you have to wait at least 10 minutes before you can look again.<br />
OK, I&#8217;ll wait 11 minutes.</em><br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5ScqmqN4I/AAAAAAAAC4o/1Bvxiut5l2I/s1600/IMG_0519.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5ScqmqN4I/AAAAAAAAC4o/1Bvxiut5l2I/s400/IMG_0519.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Walking down the drive were more animals:<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5ScyxOYiI/AAAAAAAAC4w/buCxEro_4aI/s1600/IMG_0527.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5ScyxOYiI/AAAAAAAAC4w/buCxEro_4aI/s400/IMG_0527.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Sophie, Mum and Toby were soon feeding the goats. Who weren&#8217;t at all shy, and wouldn&#8217;t have minded if Sophie had fed them every 10 minutes.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TRKU7Z-I/AAAAAAAAC44/hUp2-wyCnEQ/s1600/IMG_0535.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TRKU7Z-I/AAAAAAAAC44/hUp2-wyCnEQ/s400/IMG_0535.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
This was Mr. Bossy goat, who kept pusing the other goats out of the way. Sophie gave him quite a lecture. Something to chew on.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TRXwmv2I/AAAAAAAAC5A/77In3JHlDBw/s1600/IMG_0549.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TRXwmv2I/AAAAAAAAC5A/77In3JHlDBw/s400/IMG_0549.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
There were two alpacas too. They were very fluffy and shy.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TR1EkSGI/AAAAAAAAC5I/9V80fgdL1NA/s1600/IMG_0602.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TR1EkSGI/AAAAAAAAC5I/9V80fgdL1NA/s400/IMG_0602.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Sophie thought that their fringes werea bit too long.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TSa7YPmI/AAAAAAAAC5Q/ckOANknXDno/s1600/IMG_0620.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5TSa7YPmI/AAAAAAAAC5Q/ckOANknXDno/s400/IMG_0620.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
The cottage even came with a small container of &#8220;goat and alpaca food&#8221;.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5UWHW61ZI/AAAAAAAAC5Y/NpNZs5RbFAY/s1600/IMG_0622.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5UWHW61ZI/AAAAAAAAC5Y/NpNZs5RbFAY/s400/IMG_0622.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
It turns that even a shy alpaca is willing to stick its neck out for a bit of food!<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5UWedZdAI/AAAAAAAAC5g/NoJhmJXWOeU/s1600/IMG_0630.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5UWedZdAI/AAAAAAAAC5g/NoJhmJXWOeU/s400/IMG_0630.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
Next to the house was a lovely flat-ish back yard, with a playground. Sophie found a large wooden chest under the cubby house, which was full of ball-games, to Toby&#8217;s delight. He tried his hand (and feet) at tennis, bowls, soccer, badminton, rugby and cricket. They were all his favourite.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5UWjb3otI/AAAAAAAAC5o/JiR1l-IR_sI/s1600/IMG_0631.JPG" rel="lightbox[1118]"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4cy9H0cAdGM/TH5UWjb3otI/AAAAAAAAC5o/JiR1l-IR_sI/s400/IMG_0631.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />
View from the play area towards the house.<br />

<p>Everyone agreed that Mum had found quite a good spot for a little holiday.</p></div>

<p>What a wedding that was!!  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to you both, Frank &amp; Cathy for everything you’ve done to help us make Sharla &amp; Judd’s wedding such a huge success!  We’re impressed by your kindness and your beautiful home (your property).  The Homestead, Cottage and Loft are superb!  ALL of us enjoyed staying there – next time it will be to relax and not work so hard – BUT it was a huge comfort to have a home away from home.  THANK YOU!!  All our guests were amazed at the wonderful setting and I know some will be back to stay here too.  (I just wished the chooks laid more eggs)!!</p>
<p>We wish you all the happiness here with health, fun, laughter and joy (lucky you)!</p>

<p>Dear Frank &amp; Cathy &amp; Family</p>
<p>We have had a wonderful relaxing time.  This place is beautiful – the views, the Homestead, the hot tub, the animals, the firm beds and especially the shower!!  It’s all the best we’ve ever had!</p>
<p>We’re exhausted after canoeing and have wet clothes, blisters and funny photos from the rope swing at the creek!</p>
<p>It’s been a great few days, wish we had more time, but we will come back!</p>

<p>Quite simply the best country retreat we have stayed at.  From the relaxing spa to the abundance of wildlife, the alpacas, goats and horses to the serenity of the flowing creek and the wonderful homestead itself, this has truly been the country escape we were dreaming of!</p>

<p>Thanks again!  This was as good as our first stay with you guys.  We had a great time exploring the local area and can recommend Fitzroy Falls and The Illawarra Fly Walk.  The ‘Cheese Factory’ at Robertson does great lunches and good coffee.  The Myra Vale Rd was also worth the drive.  Thanks again!!</p>

<p>Thank you so much for lovingly restoring this beautiful homestead and opening it up for people to enjoy.</p>
<p>Four generations of our family enjoyed 3 nights of rest and relaxation (even with a 2 yr old)!</p>
<p>Angus loved (over) feeding the goats, doing laps of the house.  Hopefully one day we can bring all the grandchildren to share the fun.</p>
<p>We really appreciated the simple style and comfort of the house which was lovely for the adults and safe for the little one.  Thank you so much for the little kiddy touches like the ball and table and chairs – they made Angus’s mum feel very welcome and at ease.</p>
<p>Thank you for sharing your beautiful part of Australia with us, we all felt very welcome.<br />

<p>BEAUTIFUL!!  We were looking for a place that would remind us of our honeymoon to New Zealand on our 2nd wedding anniversary and it was exactly what we wanted.  Cool weather, mists and bubbling creeks.  Next time we shall be bringing the whole family along.  Loved the presentation of the house and the spa waiting for us when we arrived.</p>
<p>Loved the alpacas too!<br />
We will return<br />

<p>Dear Frank &amp; Cathy</p>
<p>Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven with us.  We’ve had a wonderful week here, the landscape is spectacular and the Homestead is very comfortable.  You’ve done a great job of restoring it.  Our toddler, Ruby just loved all the animals, especially the alpacas and dear little Chloe the Terrier.  Bungy the pony was also a huge hit – she has named her new rocking horse after him.</p>
<p>As for us, Minimbah has been just the tonic for a pair of stressed-out city types – we can’t wait to come back!</p>

<p>Thank you so much for a wonderful week, so very relaxing.  We loved the farm, the scenic views, getting to know the animals, and in particular, the Old Homestead, it is very comfortable and beautifully done.  Our little boy, Toby, had a great time and loved the animals and the play fort, we would love to come back again….and again…and again….!!!</p>

<p>Thank you so much for letting us stay the past few days.  My brother and I hadn’t seen our cousins, nan and pop and aunty and uncle in seven months and being here with them made it all the more perfect.  Look forward to coming back as I am usually not the farm/animal type girl, but I really enjoyed myself and the place is beautiful.</p>

<p>We have all had a wonderful time together celebrating mum and dad’s 40th wedding anniversary.  The homestead is delightful but cozy for 8 adults and 2 babies!  Just as well the weather was cold and wet and we had the fireplace burning.  We loved the alpacas and goats and scored 2 chicken eggs – thanks!</p>

<p>Thank you.  Just thank you.  Thank you for making this incredible place available for visitors like us.</p>
<p>Your hospitality is eternally appreciated, thanks especially for the delivery of wood.  It was the cherry on top of the cupcake that is the Old Homestead (because, like a cupcake, the Old Homestead is sweet and great for special occasions).</p>

<p>&#8220;Minimbah farm was gorgeous and we enjoyed a lovely family time there. The loft was clean, well-equipped and beautifully furnished. It was a great base from which to explore Kangaroo Valley and surrounds. The children loved the farm animals and collecting fresh eggs every day. The host Frank was very friendly and helpful. We hope to stay again in future.&#8221;<br />

<p>&#8220;We just wanted to say thanks for a lovely stay at the farm cottage last week. It was a lovely family-friendly environment, and all of us had a relaxing time there. We really appreciated the hospitality and looking after us with wood, matches and lemons, and look forward to returning someday. We&#8217;ll certainly recommend the place to friends!&#8221;<br />

<p>&#8220;Absolutely delightful property. Comfortable, tranquil with lovely views over the valley from the front verandah. Fun for kids who want to collect the eggs or feed the goats. After a weekend you leave the property wishing you had a couple more days. Very personable and charming owners who are helpful.&#8221;<br />

<p>&#8220;We (<a href="http://www.trans-world.nl">www.trans-world.nl</a> with 11 persons from the Netherlands) visited this accommodation. We were very satified on behalf of the situation and the possibilities of this accommodation. Very good equipped kitchen for self-catering !!&#8221;<br />

<p>&#8220;We had a lovely, relaxing time at Minimibah Cottages. We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the peace and quiet. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and we could even collect fresh eggs from the chook pen each morning. Frank and Cathy were wonderful hosts and we hope to return to Minimbah Cottages again soon.&#8221;<br />

<p>&#8220;Staying at Minimbah Farm was such a treat. Our cottage was perched on a hill overlooking the pastures&#8211;you couldn&#8217;t find a more idyllic spot. And our toddler son had so much fun feeding the goats and alpacas, and trying to chase the chickens. All weekend he kept saying, I&#8217;m happy!&#8221;<br />

<p>In November 2010 a crew of 10 people from Starchild Productions filmed scenes for the tv show &#8221;Myles Barlow Review&#8221; starring Phil Lloyd and featured on ABC TV.</p>
<p>In this particular episode Myles played the part of a business man who moves out of the the big smoke for a &#8216;tree change&#8217; in the deep south of Tasmania, but after a while, he eventually turns ferrell. (Are they trying to tell us something?)</p>
<p>The scenes shot at Minimbah involved some girl backpackers who stumble upon the &#8216;castaway&#8217; Myles in the wild bush and get more than they bargained for.</p>

<p>This episode will go to air in August 2010.</p>
<p>Who knows what you&#8217;ll find at Minimbah? &#8230; A fun day had by all!</p>
